The Seitseminen National Park lies within the region of Ikaalinen and neighbouring Kuru, and epitomizes the forest, ridge and bog landscape of southern Finland. Its distinctive features are the primeval forest of Multiharju Ridges with the shield bark and dead standing pines, the bulkheads of Hirviharju and Seitsemisharju, small lakes, ponds and peat bogs. The old farm of Kovero, which lies inside the park, is one of the most popular resorts. The Seitseminen National Park is an excellent area for hiking and other outdoor recreation, the only park of its kind in southern Finland. The Information Centre is in Kulomäki, in the northern part of the park.
